Pump.fun launches native DEX dubbed PumpSwap

Pump.fun, the memecoin launchpad on the Solana, has announced the launch of PumpSwap, a native decentralized exchange promising instant token migration, zero fees and enhanced liquidity.

The Pump.fun team unveiled the new DEX platform on March 20, 2025, noting in a post on X that PumpSwap will now support all launchpad coins that “complete their bonding curve.”

PumpSwap, built on Solana (SOL), is a decentralized exchange protocol that will operate similarly to Raydium v4 and Uniswap v2, through its constant product automated market maker model. The launch of the new DEX platform allows users to create liquidity pools.

Users can also add to existing pools as well as trade all PumpSwap tokens.

“Why did we build this? From day 1, our goal was to create the most frictionless environment for trading coins. Migrations were a major point of friction – they slow a coin’s momentum and introduce needless complexity for new users,” Pump.fun wrote on X.

The launch of PumpSwap introduces instant migrations, which the protocol says will be free, with the previous fee of six SOL for migration now removed. Seamless functionality also reduces complexity for new users.

Initially, PumpSwap plans to levy a fee of 0.25% per trade, with most of it, 0.20%, going to liquidity providers. The other 0.05% will go to the protocol. Fee distribution will change once creator revenue sharing goes live.

As well as memecoins, PumpSwap will offer access to several partner platform tokens, including Pudgy Penguins, Aptos and Tron, Jupiter, Sei and LayerZero. The DEX will also support Coinbase’s wrapped token cbBTC, Ethena Labs’s stablecoin USDe and Frax Finance’s frxUSD and FXS.

Tron DAO posted on X:

“TRON’s involvement in this initiative further strengthens its commitment to cross-chain innovation and the expansion of decentralized finance access. As PumpSwap grows, it aims to become a key liquidity hub, supporting on and off-ramps across multiple blockchains and driving broader adoption of Web3 technologies.”

PumpSwap’s rollout comes just a day after Raydium (RAY) launched its own proprietary memecoin factory LaunchLab. The Pump.fun clone will offer the same token creation and launch features.
