Qualification & Entry
The Championship field is made up of two groups:
- Top 32: Automatically qualify based on final VeeFriends Play Network standings (as of November 30th, 2025).
Please Note: Tie-breakers on the final leaderboard are determined by points, followed by strength of schedule.
- Remaining 32: Selected via open application on a rolling basis until the window is closed.
Players wishing to apply for entry need to complete this form. Players who do not place in the top 32 after all sanctioned tournaments conclude will need to apply to enter the Championship using this form. There is no entry fee.
Applications are reviewed based on experience, deck quality, attendance confirmation, and participation in past tournaments. If a qualified player cannot attend, alternate participants will be selected from the application pool. All applications are due no later than Sunday, November 30th, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT. Throughout the application window, applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and players will have 48 hours to accept their invitation once notified.
Registration & Check-In
All players must register their deck lists on the VeeFriends Play Network.
Check-In:
- 11:00 AM — 1:00 PM PT on event day
- Players must be checked in and have decks registered by this time to participate.
While the team will be flexible, it’s highly encouraged that players submit deck lists before arriving to streamline the process.
TCG Championship Format
The TCG Championship will feature a Swiss Play format that transitions into Single Elimination.
Swiss Play:
- 64 players compete in 5 rounds.
- Players are paired against others with the same record after each round (e.g., 1–0 vs 1–0).
The top 16 players advance to Single Elimination.
Each Swiss Play round has a 25-minute limit. If time expires, the player with the most gems wins the round. In the event of a tie, a sudden death round will determine the victor.
Single Elimination:
- The Round of 16 will be a Best of 1.
- All remaining rounds will be a Best of 3.
- A series loss eliminates you from the bracket.
Grand Finals:
- The final 2 competitors face off in a Best of 3 showdown.
- The winner earns the title of 2025 VeeFriends TCG Champion.
