Mineral Mining Services (MMS) has been awarded a new three-year, full mine services contract at the Black Cat Syndicate, Fingals gold mine, part of the East Kalgoorlie gold project.
The contract is set to commence in September 2025 and follows the successful execution of the Myhree and Boundary projects, MMS says.
The scope of work is expected to deliver approximately 120,000 oz of gold from 14.2 million bank cubic metres over the three-year term.
MMS said: “This new contract deepens our commitment to the Goldfields. We see our work as a partnership with the community, building upon the strong local relationships we’ve established across the region. We are excited to continue investing, working alongside and supporting the local businesses and people who make this region thrive.”
Chris Kerr, Regional Mining Manager at MMS, added: “Our team has a deep understanding of the operational requirements in the region from our work at Myhree and Boundary. We are ready to apply this proven expertise to the Fingals site to ensure a safe and productive operation from day one. This contract is a credit to the dedication and skill of our people on the ground.”
Gareth Solly, Managing Director at Black Cat Syndicate, said: “We are pleased to announce a schedule of rates contract with MMS for open-pit mining at Fingals. MMS are the incumbent contractor at the Myhree/Boundary open pit and this will also facilitate a smooth transition to Fingals.”
